Despite countless diet programs, the number of people with weight problems continues to rise. 55% of German women and 65% of German men are overweight - and the trend is rising. The latest medical research shows that excess weight and especially inner belly fat, the so-called visceral fat, can be particularly dangerous to health.


Internal belly fat is associated with an increased risk of various chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc., the so-called metabolic syndrome. Therefore, research into effective and sustainable methods for weight and belly fat reduction is of great importance.

In collaboration with the GfBE (Society for Movement and Nutrition Analysis) and myline (leading weight loss program in the fitness industry), the health center wants to prove that through healthy nutrition and strength training, in addition to overall weight loss, visceral abdominal fat can also be reduced and thus health can be improved.

Now we are looking for 50 untrained participants aged 18 and over who want to take part in the study. For four weeks, Jasmin Römer, a nutritionist at the health center, will personally accompany the participants through a weight loss program that is suitable for everyday use. In addition, all participants will receive a training program tailored to them in order to activate the body's largest fat-burning organ, the muscles. "Burn calories through proper muscle training instead of eating less and less. Proper muscle training means using up a maximum amount of energy in a short time (just 2-3 hours per week) in order to permanently speed up the metabolism. The result: instead of eating less when losing weight, you can eat more!" says Römer.

Body awareness and health improve in four weeks

"We want to find out exactly what the participants can achieve within four weeks. Participants can lose between four and six kilos in this time. Body fat, especially visceral abdominal fat, cholesterol levels and blood pressure can regulate themselves within this time, general well-being improves and even small "aches" in the back, neck, joints, etc. can disappear."

The cost price for the study, including 4 weeks of training in the health center, a comprehensive InBody body analysis at the beginning and end of the study, and the study guide with many delicious recipe suggestions for losing weight, is only €49.

  • Who can participate in the study?

    Anyone, regardless of fitness level or age group, can take part in the study. There is no age limit, and people under 25 are also welcome.

  • Can I participate as a non-member?

    You do not have to be a member to participate in the study. Non-members should plan on approximately 70 minutes for the first meeting, which includes enrollment and device introduction.

  • How often is the training carried out?

    Training should take place at least twice a week and is individually tailored to your needs and any pre-existing medical conditions.

  • What does the nutrition section of the study include?

    For the duration of the study, there are recipe instructions that should be followed for optimal results. You should also watch 4 videos about the study.

  • When can I start the study?

    The study extends over a period of 4 weeks and can be started individually, although care should be taken to ensure that there are no vacation periods in between, for example.

  • Is there a maximum weight for participation?

    For technical reasons, participation is limited to persons weighing a maximum of 145 kg.

  • Are there any contraindications?

    If you have certain illnesses or conditions, you should always consult a doctor before starting a diet or change in your diet. These include:

  • What do I need to consider when taking the InBody measurement?

      People with pacemakers must not perform the measurement! Perform the measurement on an empty stomach, as food intake affects blood circulation and thus the measured values.
